Position Summary:

As a Computational Designer at D&B Emerging Tech, you will embark on a transformative journey of conceptualizing and manifesting cutting-edge architectural visions. Your central role will encompass harnessing the prowess of computational tools and design methodologies to create intricate and innovative architectural solutions. Leveraging your expertise in software such as Rhino/Grasshopper, Blender, or Houdini, you will craft mesmerizing procedural models, algorithmic scripts, and generative designs that push the boundaries of creativity. You'll navigate the realms of biomimetics, AI driven design, and advanced scripting to forge architectural narratives that transcend conventional paradigms. Collaborating closely with architects, designers, and interdisciplinary teams, you'll be at the forefront of sculpting architectural marvels that blend aesthetics, functionality, and technological ingenuity.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Computational Designer, demonstrated through a compelling portfolio of previous projects.

• Proficiency in computational design software such as Rhino and Grasshopper, with a mastery of algorithmic scripting.

• Familiarity with design tools like Blender or Houdini to create dynamic visualizations and procedural models.

• In-depth understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex design concepts.

• Meticulous attention to detail and a keen problem-solving aptitude.

• Ability to thrive both autonomously and collaboratively within a remote team environment.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple intricate projects concurrently.

 

Plus (But Not Required):​

• Experience in teaching and mentoring others in computational design methodologies.

• Proficiency in other scripting languages, such as Python, for further customizing design workflows.

• Exposure to AI-driven architectural design and biomimetic approaches.

• Familiarity with emerging design technologies and tools beyond the aforementioned.
